About the Position

TransForce is seeking a dependable CDL A Yard Driver for a local, on-site opportunity in Patterson, California. This role focuses primarily on yard operations, with occasional trailer shuttles to Modesto and locations throughout the Bay Area. The position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule and the potential to transition from temporary to permanent employment.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $26.76 per hour
• Estimated weekly gross: $1,350
• Hours per week: 40
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Shift: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Overtime: Approximately 1 to 2 hours per day, based on operational needs
• Employment type: Temp to perm
• Start date: August 10, 2026

Job Details

• Move, spot, and position loaded and empty trailers throughout the yard and at dock doors.
• Shuttle trailers between the Patterson facility, a Modesto warehouse, and Bay Area locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a yard tractor and commercial vehicles safely within the facility and on public roadways when required.
• Couple and uncouple tractors and trailers.
• Chock trailers when positioned for loading or unloading.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
• Communicate with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and management.
• Follow facility safety procedures and DOT requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
