CDL A Yard Driver - $30.68 per Hour

About the Position

Our client is seeking a CDL A Yard Driver for a local, on-site assignment in Patterson. This role focuses on moving and positioning trailers throughout a distribution center yard, with occasional shuttle runs to Modesto and locations throughout the Bay Area.

Pay & Schedule

• $30.68 per hour
• Estimated weekly gross pay of $1,350
• Monday through Friday
• 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Approximately 1 to 2 hours of overtime per day may be available based on operational needs
• 40 hours per week
• Temp-to-perm opportunity

Job Details

• Route type: Local yard driving with occasional shuttle runs
• Freight: No-touch freight
• Equipment: CDL A tractor and trailers
• Handling: Move, spot, position, couple, and uncouple loaded and empty trailers
• Work setting: On-site distribution center and regional shuttle locations

Key Responsibilities

• Move, spot, and position loaded and empty trailers throughout the distribution center yard and at dock doors.
• Couple and uncouple tractors and trailers.
• Chock trailers and complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Occasionally shuttle trailers to a warehouse in Modesto and transport trailers to locations throughout the Bay Area.
• Perform no-touch freight operations while following facility, state, federal, DOT, and safety requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• Must be at least 21 years old
