This local CDL A Yard Jockey position is based in McDonough, GA and pays $25 per hour. You will move trailers in and out of dock doors with yard tractors during a short-term assignment lasting 3 to 4 weeks. This TransForce driving opportunity offers a defined local yard assignment with scheduled second-shift hours.

Pay & Schedule

• $25 per hour
• Estimated weekly gross pay of $1000
• Monday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.
• Short-term assignment lasting 3 to 4 weeks
• Local work in McDonough, GA

What You'll Be Doing

• Move trailers in and out of dock doors using yard tractors.
• Safely maneuver trucks and trailers in busy industrial areas, including tight spaces and dock doors.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report equipment conditions.
• Check equipment for damage, faults, weight compliance, and other safety concerns.
• Complete activity logs and trailer move requests in the yard management system.
• Identify workplace hazards and follow yard safety procedures.
• Accept occasional shuttle assignments.

What You Need

• Valid CDL A
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL driving experience.
• Experience backing 48-foot to 53-foot trailers, including in tight spaces and to dock doors.
• Valid DOT medical card
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Must be at least 21 years old
