About the Position

Our client is hiring a CDL A Yard Jockey for a local, on-site position in Springfield, Massachusetts. This role involves performing yard moves using a yard horse and handling no-touch freight. Drivers will receive ongoing support from the TransForce team.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay rate: $24 per hour
• Schedule: Thursdays from 4:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Fridays from 4:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., and Saturdays from 4:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Hours per week: 40
• Overtime: Available after 40 hours
• Employment type: Long-term flex

Key Responsibilities

• Perform yard moves using a yard horse.
• Position trailers and equipment safely within the yard.
• Handle no-touch freight consisting of houseware products.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and operational requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
