About the Position

Our client is seeking a dependable CDL A Yard Jockey to safely move and position trailers in a local yard environment. This on-site role offers consistent weekday hours, home-daily work, and no-touch responsibilities.

Pay & Schedule Details

• Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
• Average Weekly Earnings: $1,000–$1,080
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Shift: 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Employment Type: Short-term flex
• Start Date: September 25, 2026
• Work Arrangement: On-site and home daily

Job Details

• Route Type: Local yard operations in Thomson, Georgia
• Freight: Yard trailer movement; specific freight is not provided
• Equipment: Automatic-transmission terminal tractors, yard goats, and semi-trailers

Key Responsibilities

• Hook up, move, and park semi-trailers using terminal tractors or yard goats.
• Position trailers accurately at loading and unloading docks.
• Organize incoming and outgoing equipment to maintain an efficient yard flow.
• Inspect tractors and trailers for safety issues and visible damage.
• Document equipment damage and report maintenance needs as appropriate.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures while operating yard equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Ability to safely operate automatic-transmission yard equipment.
