TransForce is seeking a CDL B Driver to support Local operations based in Hanahan, SC. This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team.
CDL B Driver Details
- Schedule: Mon-Fri, 5.30 am start time, home daily
- Pay: $23/hr
- Route Type: Local
- Freight / Load Type: Shuttling airplane parts
- Equipment: 26 ft Box Truck
- Handling: Light Touch, secure loads
CDL B Driver Minimum Requirements:
- License: CDL A or B CDL
- Experience: 6-12+ months of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Equipment Experience: 6 months of experience with a 26 ft Box Truck or larger
- Current DOT Med Card
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
CDL B Driver Responsibilities:
- Safely operate, transfer, and deliver freight utilizing a box truck and/or other equipment
- Move product in a 26-foot box truck
- Operate material handling equipment to load and unload materials in a safe manner
- Maintain required documentation, including daily logs, vehicle inspection records, mileage, unloading and shipping records
- Conduct thorough and accurate pre-trip and post-trip inspections and provide documentation upon completion; ensure proper closure of trailers
- Provide basic equipment maintenance and report equipment malfunctions as necessary
- Properly secure loads and ensure all loads are within weight limits
