About the Position

Our client is seeking an experienced Class B CDL Driver with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements for a dedicated, full-time local pick-up and delivery opportunity throughout the Central Illinois region. This position offers steady weekday hours, home-daily routes, and year-round work for safety-minded professionals who are comfortable performing physically demanding freight-handling duties.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay rate: $27.50 per hour
• Full-time, dedicated opportunity
• Monday–Friday schedule
• 9:30 a.m. start time
• 8–10 hours per day
• 40 hours per week
• Home daily

Job Details

• Route type: Local pick-up and delivery
• Service area: Central Illinois region
• Freight: Heavy-touch freight
• Stops: Approximately 12–16 stops per day
• Equipment: Automatic transmission vehicle
• Handling: Manual pallet jack loading and unloading; repetitive and physically demanding freight-handling duties

Key Responsibilities

• Perform local pick-up and delivery operations
• Load and unload freight using manual pallet jacks
• Complete approximately 12–16 stops per day
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and follow all safety procedures
• Handle repetitive loading and unloading activities safely and efficiently

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL
• Required Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
• 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Ability to perform heavy-touch freight duties and repetitive loading and unloading activities
• Forklift experience is helpful but not required
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Must be at least 21 years old
