About the Position

Our client is seeking a skilled CDL A Driver for a local heavy-touch position in Freedom, Pennsylvania. This role involves operating single-axle and tandem-axle flatbeds, as well as a 48-foot tractor-trailer, while delivering fire sprinkler pipe and supplies.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $29.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Overtime: Available
• Employment Type: Temp to perm

Job Details

• Route Type: Local deliveries within 5 hours of the shop
• Freight: Fire sprinkler pipe and supplies
• Equipment: Single-axle flatbed, tandem-axle flatbed, and 48-foot automatic tractor-trailer
• Handling: Approximately 90% to 95% driving and 5% warehouse work
• Position Type: Heavy touch

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned flatbed and tractor-trailer equipment.
• Complete local deliveries of fire sprinkler pipe and supplies.
• Perform heavy-touch freight handling and assist with warehouse work as needed.
• Conduct required vehicle inspections and maintain compliance with applicable regulations.
• Provide professional and dependable service during all customer deliveries.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL A.
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Moffett and forklift experience preferred.
