About the Position

Our client is seeking experienced local CDL A Drivers for a temporary-to-permanent opportunity in Houston, Texas. This role offers steady local work hauling general merchandise in a dry van with light-touch handling. A TWIC card and Hazmat endorsement are required, and drivers without a TWIC card must be willing to obtain one.

Pay & Schedule

• $27.50 per hour
• 40 hours per week
• Local routes based in Houston, Texas
• Availability required 6 days per week
• Monday through Friday, plus either Saturday or Sunday
• Temporary-to-permanent employment opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CDL A equipment safely on local routes.
• Transport general merchandise in a dry van with light-touch handling.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate logs and required paperwork.
• Follow DOT safety standards and applicable regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• TWIC card or willingness to obtain one.
• Hazmat endorsement.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record, with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
