Local CDL A Driver - Heavy Touch - $28 Per Hour - Wichita, Kansas

About the Position

We are currently seeking a Local CDL A Driver in Wichita, Kansas. This position offers a pay rate of $28 per hour with the opportunity for overtime after 40 hours. The driver will be responsible for local deliveries, ensuring timely and safe transportation of paper products.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $28 per hour
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, starting at 6 AM, working 10-12 hours
• Home Daily

Job Details

• Route Type: Local delivery from Wichita to OKC and Kansas City area
• Freight: Paper products
• Equipment: 48' or 53' trailer with liftgate, all trucks are automatics
• Handling: Touch freight; will load and unload with an electric pallet jack or sit-down forklift

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers (heavy touch freight)
• Operate within a 200-250 miles radius
• Adjust to changing schedules and customer needs
• Ensure safety and dependability in all driving tasks

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license required
• 1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL driving experience
• Forklift experience preferred (sit-down), but willing to train
• Liftgate experience preferred
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
