TransForce is seeking a CDL A Driver to support Local operations based in Lenexa, KS. This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team.
Local CDL A Driver Details:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday (occasional Saturday), 2:30 pm – 11 pm. 40-hour work week - home daily
- Pay: $30 per hour, OT after 40 hours
- Route Type: Local, driver will make trips back & forth hauling food & spices from production facility 1.5 miles to warehouse
- Freight / Load Type: Pulling 53’ storage trailers w/swing doors & 48’ w/roll doors
- Equipment: Automatic Transmission
- Handling: Touch freight is required for load/unload w/forklift
Local CDL A Driver Minimum Requirements:
- License: CDL A
- Experience: 1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Equipment Experience: 1 year tractor-trailer experience required, with strong backing skills and forklift experience required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
Local CDL A Driver Responsibilities:
- Safely operate equipment on local routes
- Transport freight in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
- Perform the required handling tasks, including loading and unloading goods with a forklift
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
- Meet the physical demands of the role
