Class A Local Touch Driver – $26.00 per hour

About the Position

We are seeking a Class A Driver for local deliveries and warehouse support. The role operates an F-550 pulling a 40-foot gooseneck trailer, with additional automatic vehicles used as needed. Responsibilities are split approximately 50% driving and 50% warehouse work based on business needs.

Pay & Job Details

• Pay rate: $26.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Route type: Local deliveries, with destinations generally no more than one hour away
• Freight: Pipe, valves, fittings, and related materials
• Equipment: F-550 with a 40-foot gooseneck trailer and other automatic vehicles
• Handling: Unload or assist with unloading materials and ensure products are properly secured
• Warehouse duties include pulling tickets, putting away stock, and assisting with customer returns and local pickup orders
• Equipment operation includes sit-down forklifts and cherry pickers
• Work may be performed at heights of up to 20 feet

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver materials according to the scheduled delivery time
• Validate directions and communicate with the supervisor throughout the day
• Secure materials properly and ensure loads remain within weight limits
• Unload materials and verify that all products are placed at the delivery site
• Obtain and verify customer signatures on delivery tickets
• Use the delivery device to document completed deliveries with photographs
• Pick up customer returns and verify products match credit requests
• Pick up local purchase orders and secure all required packing lists
• Review completed orders with the supervisor for accuracy and completion
• Return delivery ticket copies to the warehouse and verify that records are complete
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Fuel vehicles as needed and report vehicle issues, accidents, moving violations, and defects
• Assist with warehouse operations as needed
• Provide professional customer service and represent the organization appropriately
• Follow applicable safety rules, company policies, and Department of Transportation standards

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• 1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• At least 6 months of recent forklift and cherry picker experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
