Local CDL A Flatbed Driver - Home Daily - AM Start

Location: Myerstown, Pennsylvania

Pay: $30 per hour during orientation; $24 per hour plus applicable components after training

About the Position

Our client is seeking a CDL A Flatbed Driver to support local operations in Myerstown, Pennsylvania. This dedicated, temp-to-hire position offers home-daily routes, automatic equipment, and training for drivers without prior flatbed experience.

Pay & Schedule Details

• $30 per hour during orientation
• $24 per hour plus applicable components after training
• Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays
• Start times are approximately 1:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.
• 40 hours per week
• Home daily
• Quarterly performance and safety bonus
• $50 for each secured tarp
• $25 per hour for detention
• $25 per hour for breakdown time
• $35 per night per diem when necessary

Job Details

• Route type: Local
• Freight: Roofing materials, flat metal, and lumber
• Equipment: Automatic trucks
• Handling: Heavy touch, including strapping and tarping

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A vehicles on local routes
• Transport freight in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
• Secure loads using straps and tarps
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Flatbed experience is not required; training will be provided
