Local CDL-A Heavy Haul Driver with RGN Experience

Pay: Up to $35 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours

Location: Columbia, Missouri

About the Position

Our client is seeking experienced CDL-A drivers with heavy haul and RGN experience to transport heavy and oversized equipment across regional routes. This local, home-daily position offers consistent Monday-through-Friday work, professional equipment, and the opportunity to play an important role in safe and efficient deliveries.

Pay & Schedule Details

• Pay: Up to $35 per hour
• Overtime: Available after 40 hours
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, with occasional variations based on workload
• Shift start: 7:00 a.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Daily hours: Approximately 10–12 hours per day
• Route type: Local and regional
• Home time: Home daily
• Busy season: March through October
• Start date: April 20, 2026

Job Details

• Routes: Missouri, with travel to Arkansas, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, and Wisconsin as needed
• Freight: Oversize, overweight, construction, and quarry equipment
• Equipment: Peterbilt, Western Star, and Freightliner day cabs and sleeper trucks
• Transmission: Manual
• Trailers: Various trailer types based on the load, including RGN trailers
• Handling: No-touch freight; drivers load, secure, and unload equipment as required

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy-haul trucks on local and regional routes.
• Transport oversize and specialized construction or quarry equipment.
• Load, secure, and unload heavy equipment as required.
• Ensure all loads are properly secured and compliant with applicable regulations.
• Maintain accurate paper logs when required.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and driver supervision.
• Represent our client professionally while providing safe and dependable service.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• At least 1 year of heavy haul experience.
• RGN experience.
• Required T endorsement for doubles and triples.
• No automatic transmission restriction.
• Ability to safely load, secure, and transport heavy equipment.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
