Local CDL A Yard Switcher | $25/hr | Albertville, AL

TransForce is seeking a CDL A Driver to support local operations based in Albertville, AL. This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team. 

CDL A Yard Switcher Details 

• Schedule: Mon - Fri, 6 pm to 6 am, avg shift 10-12 hours, home daily
• Pay: $25/hr
• Route Type: Local, from the dock door to the yard and occasionally to buildings across the street
• Freight / Load Type: Automotive parts
• Equipment: Yard Truck, Automatic transmission
• Handling: No-touch

CDL A Yard Switcher Minimum Requirements:  

• License: CDL A
• Experience: 1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience 
• Equipment Experience: Yard truck experience preferred
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years) 
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements 

CDL A Yard Switcher Responsibilities:  

• Safely operate equipment on local routes 
• Safely maneuver trailers around the yard, occasionally to other facilities across the street
• Maintain accurate logs and paperwork 
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations 
• Meet the physical demands of the role
