Non-CDL Flatbed Tarper | $17.00/Hour

TransForce is seeking a full-time Flatbed Tarper to support dedicated operations in Plaster City.

This position is responsible for safely tarping and untarping flatbed loads and ensuring freight is properly protected and secured according to company and safety standards.

Flatbed Tarper Details:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
• Pay: $17.00 per hour
• Assignment Type: Dedicated, full-time assignment
• Work Environment: Outdoor work supporting flatbed load securement
• Equipment: Tarps, straps, bungees, and other securement equipment

• Experience: 6–12 months of relevant experience
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy tarps weighing approximately 60–100 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Basic knowledge of load securement preferred; training will be provided
• Ability to follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements

Flatbed Tarper Responsibilities:

• Safely tarp and untarp flatbed loads using tarps, straps, and bungees
• Inspect load placement and securement before and after tarping
• Ensure freight is properly covered, protected, and secured
• Communicate with drivers and dispatch regarding load status, delays, or securement concerns\
• Maintain tarps and securement equipment and report damaged items as needed
• Keep the work area organized and free of avoidable safety hazards
• Follow all safety, PPE, and site-specific requirements
