About the Position

Our client is seeking a Regional CDL A Driver for a hands-on driving opportunity based in Saco, Maine. This role involves regional routes throughout New Hampshire and Vermont, with returns to Maine and overnight layovers in the sleeper. Drivers will transport pre-hung doors to millwork stores while providing heavy-touch freight handling.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $33 per hour
• Additional Compensation: $75 per night per diem
• Overtime: Available after 40 hours
• Estimated Weekly Gross: $1,500
• Schedule: Monday and Tuesday through Thursday and Friday
• Hours per Week: 40
• Employment Type: Temp to Perm

Job Details

• Route Type: Regional routes to New Hampshire and Vermont, with returns to Maine
• Freight: Pre-hung doors delivered to millwork stores
• Equipment: Sleeper for overnight layovers
• Handling: Heavy-touch freight involving doors weighing approximately 100 to 125 pounds each
• Stops: Approximately 7 to 12 stops per day

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL A commercial vehicle on regional routes
• Transport and deliver pre-hung doors to millwork stores
• Tailgate doors weighing approximately 100 to 125 pounds each
• Coordinate with receivers, who will complete the unloading process
• Complete approximately 7 to 12 delivery stops per day
• Follow all applicable safety and transportation regulations

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL A
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Must be at least 21 years old
