This position performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the plant's storage plan. Position requires an active CDL license for transporting products to another local plant. It performs duties relating to preparing loads for shipment, loading and unloading trucks, and placing finished goods in warehouse and production areas.

Key Responsibilities

Forklift operators move our product - whether it's loading or unloading product for transportation, wrapping finished product, or moving product around the facility. Forklift operators must be safety-minded and have good attention to detail.

• Drives truck/yard truck/forklift to put dropped trailer with Finish products, raw materials and other supplies at dock door.
• Audits of incoming material including raw material inspections and verifying approved manufacturer.
• Unloads incoming Finish products, raw materials and other supplies in a safe and efficient manner.
• Check the quality of incoming Finish products, raw materials and other supplies.
• Places incoming material with proper size, gauge, date, etc.
• Loads of empty racks to be returned to vendor.
• Loads of scrap trucks.
• Inspect truck and completes daily check list, following company policies
• Operate a forklift to move goods and materials. Complete forklift truck checklist daily, before operating lift.
• Route finished goods to prescribed storage locations.
• Take inventory of stored materials.
• Examine stored materials regularly, report damage and ensure that damaged goods are sent to production for repackaging.
• Assist in daily cleaning and organizing of the warehouse.
• Perform any other duties as requested or required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Forklift certification & Class A CDL License required
• Ability to safely operate forklift Slip Sheet Experience preferred
• Reading, writing and math ability are sufficient to maintain the documents associated with the position.
