Full Description
EXPERIENCED CDL-A CAR HAULER DRIVER
HIRING AREA: MULTIPLE U.S. MARKETS - OTR & REGIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
YOU ALREADY KNOW CAR HAULING ISN'T ORDINARY TRUCKING.
Loading multiple vehicles correctly. Knowing what fits. Protecting high-value cargo. Checking clearances. Managing dealerships and auctions. Delivering vehicles without damage.
That's why we're looking specifically for drivers who understand automobile transport.
Truck Driver Nation is recruiting CDL-A drivers for available car-hauling opportunities with participating transportation companies.
If you have direct car-hauling experience, we want to know what equipment you've operated, where you're willing to run, and what kind of position you're looking for.
THE WORK
Depending on the available opportunity, drivers may transport vehicles between:
Automobile manufacturers
Dealerships
Auctions
Distribution and processing facilities
Commercial customers
Other automotive pickup and delivery locations
Assignments may involve multiple pickups and deliveries during a trip.
CAR-HAULING EXPERIENCE MATTERS
This isn't being advertised as a general Dry Van position with a different trailer attached.
Qualifying positions may require drivers who understand:
Multi-vehicle loading and unloading
Vehicle positioning
Proper securement
Height and clearance awareness
Vehicle inspection procedures
Damage prevention
Pickup and delivery documentation
Dealership and auction procedures
Route planning for loaded car-hauling equipment
Direct auto-transport experience is strongly preferred and may be required for specific openings.
AVAILABLE OPERATIONS
Current and future opportunities may include:
OTR car hauling
Regional auto transport
Multi-vehicle car carriers
Dealership and auction freight
Dedicated automotive lanes on select openings
Company-driver opportunities
Equipment, lanes, schedules, and freight patterns vary by the actual position available.
COMPENSATION
Car-hauling compensation can differ substantially by operation.
Available positions may use percentage, mileage, load-based, or other compensation structures depending on the carrier and assignment.
Truck Driver Nation will review the compensation structure associated with a qualifying opportunity before a driver moves forward.
No specific earnings are guaranteed by this posting.
HOME TIME & OPERATING AREA
Home-time schedules depend on the individual opportunity.
Some openings may operate regionally while others require extended OTR availability.
Your residence, experience, preferred operating area, and desired home-time schedule will be considered when reviewing available positions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified applicants should generally have:
Valid Class A CDL
Current DOT medical qualification
Verifiable CDL-A driving experience
Car-hauling or auto-transport experience preferred
Acceptable MVR and safety record
Ability to safely load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles
Strong attention to equipment and cargo condition
Professional customer communication
Ability to meet DOT/FMCSA requirements
Ability to satisfy the hiring standards of the applicable motor carrier
Individual openings may have additional experience or qualification requirements.
A SPECIALIZED DRIVER DESERVES A SPECIALIZED MATCH
Car hauling requires a different skill set from ordinary freight.
Instead of trying to force every experienced driver into the same opening, Truck Driver Nation reviews your background against the car-hauling opportunities currently available through the transportation companies we recruit for.
Tell us what you've hauled, what equipment you know, where you live, and what you're looking for next.
APPLY THROUGH THIS POSTING
Submit your application for consideration.
Truck Driver Nation will review your experience and qualifications and determine whether an applicable current car-hauling opportunity is available.
Truck Driver Nation provides recruiting services for participating motor carriers and transportation companies. Truck Driver Nation may not be the motor carrier or W-2 employer for the position ultimately offered.
Submitting an application does not guarantee placement or employment. Final hiring approval, compensation, equipment, routes, benefits, schedule, and employment terms are determined by the applicable motor carrier.
