Full Description
CDL-A OTR DRIVER
70-77 CPM | 3,000+ MILES AVAILABLE | NO-TOUCH FREIGHT
HIRING AREA
Macon, Georgia and surrounding Central Georgia area
OTR operations may extend throughout multiple regions of the lower 48 states.
IF YOU WANT MILES, THE TRUCK NEEDS TO MOVE.
Experienced drivers know there's a big difference between an advertised CPM and what actually hits the bank account.
The rate matters. But so do miles, freight consistency, equipment, detention, home time, and whether the operation can keep a productive driver moving.
Truck Driver Nation is currently reviewing experienced CDL-A drivers for qualifying OTR opportunities offering competitive mileage-based compensation and strong mileage availability.
PAY AND MILEAGE
Depending on the specific motor-carrier opportunity and driver qualifications, available positions may include:
• Approximately $0.70-$0.77 CPM
• Loaded and empty mile compensation on qualifying positions
• Approximately 3,000+ miles per week when freight and driver availability support it
• Weekly pay
• Direct deposit
• Detention compensation when applicable
• Layover compensation when applicable
• Additional-stop compensation on select positions
• Performance or clean-inspection incentives on select opportunities
Compensation and mileage are not guaranteed. Actual earnings depend on the applicable carrier compensation plan, miles driven, freight availability, driver availability, qualifications, operating conditions, and other factors.
WHAT YOU MAY BE HAULING
Current opportunities may include:
• Dry-van freight
• No-touch freight
• Long-haul OTR freight
• Midwest lanes
• Southeast lanes
• Southwest lanes
• Eastern U.S. freight
• Multi-state freight networks
Specific lanes, customers, freight types, and mileage depend on the motor carrier and current freight demand.
EQUIPMENT THAT'S BUILT TO RUN
Qualifying openings may offer late-model equipment, including:
• Freightliner tractors
• Volvo tractors
• Automatic transmissions
• Sleeper cabs
• Power inverters
• Refrigerators on select equipment
• Electronic logging equipment
• 24/7 operational or maintenance support on select positions
Exact tractor year, model, amenities, governed speed, and equipment assignment vary by carrier and availability.
THIS IS REAL OTR WORK
This position is intended for drivers comfortable staying on the road.
Depending on the available opportunity, schedules may require approximately two or more weeks OTR before scheduled home time.
Drivers who prefer longer rotations may have additional options depending on freight demand and carrier requirements.
Exact home-time expectations should be confirmed before accepting an opportunity.
DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS
We're primarily interested in professional CDL-A drivers who can demonstrate a safe and dependable operating history.
Applicants should generally have:
• Valid Class A CDL
• Current medical qualification
• Approximately 2+ years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
• OTR availability
• Acceptable motor vehicle record
• Acceptable FMCSA Clearinghouse status
• Ability to satisfy applicable drug and alcohol testing requirements
• Professional communication
• Ability to meet DOT requirements
• Ability to satisfy the individual motor carrier's hiring standards
Requirements vary by carrier. Meeting these general qualifications does not guarantee acceptance by a particular motor carrier.
WE WANT TO KNOW HOW YOU ACTUALLY LIKE TO RUN
Some drivers want maximum miles.
Others care more about where they run.
Some want newer equipment. Others are primarily concerned about home time, freight type, or how they're compensated.
That's why we review more than a CDL.
Your experience, location, preferred lanes, equipment background, home-time expectations, and operating preferences can all affect which available opportunity makes sense.
