Full Description

CDL-A OTR DRIVER

$1,500-$2,250+ WEEKLY POTENTIAL | LATE-MODEL TRUCKS | FLEXIBLE HOME TIME

HIRING AREA

Louisville, Kentucky and surrounding areas

This is an over-the-road driving opportunity with multi-state operations. Actual hiring eligibility and operating territory depend on the available motor-carrier position.

THE BEST DRIVING JOB ISN'T ALWAYS THE ONE WITH THE BIGGEST NUMBER IN THE HEADLINE.

Experienced drivers know what really determines whether an OTR position works:

How many miles can you actually run?

What kind of truck are you sleeping in?

How long are you staying out?

When do you get paid?

What happens when something goes wrong on the road?

And most importantly - does the entire package make sense for you?

Truck Driver Nation is currently reviewing experienced CDL-A drivers for qualifying OTR opportunities offering weekly earning potential, late-model equipment, multiple home-time options, and established freight networks.

EARNING POTENTIAL

Depending on the specific position and driver performance, qualifying opportunities may provide:
• Approximately $1,500-$2,250+ weekly earning potential
• Weekly pay
• Mileage-based compensation on applicable positions
• Loaded and empty mileage compensation on select opportunities
• Performance incentives where applicable
• Clean DOT inspection incentives on select positions
• Additional-stop, detention, or layover compensation where applicable

These figures describe potential compensation associated with qualifying opportunities and are not guaranteed earnings.

Actual earnings depend on the specific motor carrier, compensation plan, miles completed, freight availability, driver availability, qualifications, operating conditions, and other factors.

LATE-MODEL OTR EQUIPMENT

Available opportunities may include equipment such as:
• Peterbilt tractors
• Freightliner tractors
• Volvo tractors
• Automatic transmissions
• Sleeper configurations
• Power inverters
• Refrigerators on select equipment
• Electronic logging systems
• Roadside or maintenance support

Some qualifying equipment may be approximately 2021 model year or newer.

Specific tractor make, model, year, amenities, governed speed, and assignment are determined by the applicable motor carrier and equipment availability.

FREIGHT AND OPERATING AREA

Current opportunities may include:
• Dry Van freight
• No-touch freight on qualifying lanes
• Midwest operations
• Southeast operations
• Eastern U.S. freight
• Multi-state OTR routes

Freight type, customer accounts, lanes, and operating territory vary by available position.

HOME TIME THAT FITS OTR OPERATIONS

Different drivers want different schedules.

Available positions may include multiple OTR rotations depending on the carrier, freight network, and driver location.

Examples may include extended OTR periods followed by scheduled home time.

Some drivers prefer shorter rotations.

Others want to stay out longer and maximize their available earning opportunities.

Home-time expectations should be discussed during the qualification process so applicants can be matched with an appropriate opening.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

This opportunity is intended primarily for experienced professional CDL-A drivers.

Applicants should generally have:
• Valid Class A CDL
• Current medical qualification
• Verifiable tractor-trailer experience
• OTR availability
• Acceptable motor vehicle record
• Ability to satisfy applicable drug and alcohol testing requirements
• Acceptable FMCSA Clearinghouse status
• Professional communication
• Dependable work history
• Ability to meet DOT requirements
• Ability to satisfy the individual motor carrier's qualification standards

Approximately two years of tractor-trailer experience may be required for certain opportunities.

Requirements differ between motor carriers. Meeting these general requirements does not guarantee carrier approval.

THE DRIVER-CARRIER MATCH MATTERS

Two drivers can look nearly identical on paper and still need completely different jobs.

One wants maximum miles.

Another needs predictable home time.

One prefers Midwest freight.

Another wants to stay away from certain regions.

One cares most about the truck.

Another cares most about the compensation structure.

That's why we review more than whether you possess a CDL.

We consider your experience, location, freight background, preferred operating areas, equipment preferences, home-time expectations, and other qualifications when reviewing available opportunities.
