This position is responsible for the transport and delivery of freight on time in a professional manner by driving diesel-powered tractor/trailer combinations short and long distances, while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.The duties will include loading trucks with crates of placement chicks and driving them to their designated farm. Once at the farm the crates of chicks will be unloaded into the chicken houses. The conditions will be dusty and dirty. The temperatures will vary to include heat, cold, wet, dry and damp. Must be able to tolerate strong ammonia smell in chicken houses. Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull and lift up to 65 pounds. This position will require periods of standing and will require repetitive motions utilizing hands and wrists. Pay Range: 26.45-26.45 per_hour, General Benefits:

Applcant must be able to pass both urine and hair follicle drug tests. Must be at least 21 years of age to be considered for this position. Must have a DOT certification on the date of posting. Must have one year of verifiable experience in type vehicle that will be operated (top heavy load experience preferred). Must be able to obtain a medical card as required by DOT. No DUI/DWI conviction in the past eight (8) years in a personal vehicle. No DUI/DWI conviction in Commercial Motor Vehicle ever. No DOT Drug or Alcohol Violation within the past three (3) years, including Roadside inspection violations as identified on locations PSP report. Must be able to read and write in order to follow delivery schedule and follow simple maps and directions to farms. Must pass a driving test. Must pass a DOT physical and any DOT drug or alcohol screen when required or allowed under DOT regulations. Must meet the Tyson Driver Evaluations System requirements that involve but not limited to: Points, DUI/DWI Rules and Drug and Alcohol Testing.
Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl to be considered. Must have9 months of continuous work history with one employer within the last twenty-four months.
