Ready to driver your career forward? US Foods is company that's leading the foodservice industry! This is a trainee position, involving a structured 90 day training program, consisting of driving skills training, classroom and behind-the-wheel practice. Must have a state certified CDL learner’s permit prior to entering the training program. At the conclusion of this training program, a successful candidate will have obtained a CDL Class A license and be ready to advance to a Delivery Driver Trainee position.

Main Ingredients of the Job
Must have a state certified CDL learner’s permit prior to entering the training program.
100 % attendance in all elements of the training program, actively participating in classroom exercises as well as hands on instruction
Maintains satisfactory feedback from instructors and driver/coaches during the classroom, yard skills, and on-the-road driving portion of the training program
Assists designated US Foods drivers in route completion, learning all aspects of the job
Successfully obtains a CDL Class A license within the first 45 days of the training program
Achieves defined performance expectations during the initial 90 day probationary period of program
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required
Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required
What You Bring to the Table
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have valid CDL Permit issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
Preferred experience: A minimum of one year operating heavy motor vehicle equipment AND/OR one year as a warehouse selector in a foodservice or comparable industry.
Examples: MVO’s from the military, Non CDL drivers with route delivery experience, US Foods selectors or selectors from other foodservice organizations.
Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records. .
