Transportation Supervisor
Unitex is experiencing unprecedented growth! Due to this growth, we are in search of a highly skilled Transportation Supervisor for our facility in Lawrence, MA.
Compensation: the salary range for this position is $75,000 to $80,000. Actual compensation decisions are based on factors such as experience, seniority, location, and other permissible job-related factors.
Schedule:
Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 7am - 4:30pm
Friday and Saturday 3am - 12pm
Off Sunday & Monday

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 7am - 4:30pm
Friday and Saturday 3am - 12pm
Off Sunday & Monday
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Recruits and trains all drivers
- Interacts with our full-service leasing company to ensure proper maintenance of all vehicles
- Supervises payroll, truck leasing and fuel budgets
- Supervises work performance and results of all drivers
- Sets effective schedules to operate within budget
- Prioritizes work effectively
- Sets high expectations and goals
- Takes responsibility for achieving performance results
- Follows through to completion of work projects
- Assures employees follow Unitex policies and procedures
- Supervises and coordinates all company safety procedures
- Builds effective customer relationships and resolves issues in timely ways
Job Requirements:
- 2+ years of successful transportation management experience with proven results
- MUST HAVE Class A CDL and supervisory experience
- Experience managing people in a fast-paced, time-sensitive setting
- Complete knowledge of DOT requirements
- Independent thinker and decision maker that requires minimal supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and basic PC skills
