CDL-A Local Driver | Kroger - Monroe, OH

Starting Location: Monroe, OH 45044 - applicants must live within the account's hiring area.

Join a dedicated local grocery delivery account offering $1,200 average weekly pay, with top drivers earning $1,500+ per week. Get home daily, with two days off each week, and haul dry and refrigerated freight primarily throughout Ohio.
Pay Details & Schedule

Average Weekly Pay: $1,200
Top Weekly Pay: $1,500+
Experience-Based Mileage Pay: 0 months: $0.56; 6 months: $0.57; 1 year: $0.58; 2 years: $0.59; 3 years: $0.60; 4 years: $0.61; 5+ years: $0.62 per mile.
Additional Pay: $20 per stop, $37 per unload, $20 per backhaul, $25 per pallet restack, plus recovery mileage.
Home Time: Daily, with two days off per week. Weekend days off are not guaranteed.
Schedule: Starts around 11 AM-noon. Evenings, weekends, holidays, and the week preceding holidays may be required.
Training: Trainee ride-along for 1-2 days at $100 per day. Trainers receive an additional $50 per day on top of route pay.

Job Details

Freight: Dry and refrigerated freight; approximately 70% drop-and-hook and 30% driver unload.
Running Area: Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky, primarily Ohio.
Workload: Approximately 1,000-1,500 miles per week, with 3-5 loads and 5-7 stops per day.
Unloading: Use an electric pallet jack for driver unloads; moving between locations may be required.
Equipment: Slip-seat day-cab tractors.
Freight Flexibility: Drivers must be able to handle both dry and refrigerated loads.

Job Requirements

Valid Class A CDL.
At least 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
Clean driving record.
Valid DOT Medical Card.
No SAP drivers.
Must live within the hiring area for Monroe, OH 45044.
Ability to unload freight using an electric pallet jack.
Flexibility to handle dry and refrigerated freight.
Availability for evening, weekend, holiday, and peak holiday-period work.
