CDL-A Route Support Driver (4-Day Work Week | Local | Home Daily) West Side Beer Distributing is seeking a CDL-A Route Support Driver for local beverage deliveries in Wayne County.
This is a relief/support position, not a dedicated route. You will occasionally drive, but will frequently work as a delivery helper supporting routes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, working on a team, and having a consistent schedule.
Location: Romulus Schedule: Tuesday - Friday | 6:00 AM start (4-day work week) Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 annually (Hourly + Commission) Compensation varies based on daily assignment (driver vs. helper routes) Reports To: Delivery Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

What You'll Do
Provide route coverage and support based on daily business needs
Operate CDL-A vehicles when assigned (not guaranteed daily)
Frequently work as a delivery helper, assisting with unloading and deliveries
Deliver products safely and accurately to customers
Load/unload product using carts, dollies, and lift gates
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections when driving
Use handheld devices for deliveries and invoicing
Provide strong customer service at each stop
Follow all FMCSA, DOT, and company safety guidelines
What You'll Need
Valid CDL-A license (required)
Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience (required)
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
Current DOT Medical Card
Ability to perform physical delivery work daily
Comfortable working in a helper-heavy role
Physical Requirements
Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 160 lbs. with assistance or equipment
Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift
Work in outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, and inclement weather
Work in retail and warehouse environments with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
Safely operate all assigned delivery equipment and maintain a clean, safe vehicle
