West Side Beer Distributing is seeking a CDL-A Swing Driver for local beverage deliveries in Wayne County
West Side Beer Distributing is looking for a reliable CDL-A professional to support our delivery team. This role will work both as a driver and as a delivery helper depending on daily route needs. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and staying active while providing great service to customers across Wayne County.
Location: Romulus
Schedule: 4, 10 hour shifts (Tuesday - Friday with 6AM start)
Compensation: Hourly rate plus commissions
Reports To: Delivery Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

You will also follow all safety rules and company policies, including FMCSA, MLCC, and OSHA guidelines. Customer service is an important part of this job. What You'll Do
- Work as a driver or delivery helper depending on daily needs
- Drive commercial vehicles safely when assigned
- Complete vehicle inspections before and after trips
- Deliver products to stores and restaurants
- Check orders to make sure deliveries are accurate
- Use handheld devices for invoices and delivery records
- Collect payments when needed and record transactions
- Use equipment like dollies, carts, and lift gates safely
- Rotate products and check quality
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Keep paperwork and delivery records accurate and organized
- Follow all safety rules and complete required training
What You'll Need
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid CDL-A license and current DOT medical card required
- Delivery or CDL driving experience preferred
- Ability to safely lift, move, and deliver products
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to switch between driving and helper duties as needed
- Basic ability to use handheld devices
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required
- Must pass drug screen, physical, and background check
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 160 lbs. with assistance or equipment
- Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift
- Work in outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, and inclement weather
- Work in retail and warehouse environments with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
- Safely operate all assigned delivery equipment and maintain a clean, safe vehicle
