JOB DESCRIPTION - MANUAL TRANSMISSION CDL-A LOCAL TRUCK DRIVER

Wurth Baer Supply Company, one of the nation's premier distributors to the woodworking industry, is seeking a reliable and responsible Driver - CDL Class A to support our Versailles, KY facility and product delivery operations.

Job Type:

• FULL TIME - YEAR-ROUND WORK
• PERMANENT JOB - NO AGENCIES/CONTRACTS
• INCLUDES BENEFITS + PTO (detailed below)

• $26.00/HR starting pay (non-negotiable)
• Biweekly Pay

• Drivers in good standing with the company will receive $1,000 after 90 days of employment and another $1,000 after 180 days of employment.
• Safety, attendance, attitude, and consistent on-time arrivals to work each day are all calculated into the decision of being considered in good standing with the company.

• No nights or weekends
• Work days are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
• You will have Tuesdays off and you won't work on weekends.
• Four Tens - 5:00am to 3:00pm or completion of daily route
• You will cover a 5th day when teammates are on vacation, and your teammates will do the same for you.

• This route will cover the Louisville, KY area
• 10 to 20 daily stops

• 26-foot curtain-side straight truck - Conestoga style with soft shell box to start
• In the near future, we will be acquiring 36-foot pup tractor trailers which do require a CDL-A

• Secure load to truck by tying down to ascertain safe travel between stops
• Pass goods to customers by hand weighing 40lbs to 80lbs as needed
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate as needed with management pertaining to customer questions and concerns
• Utilize Samsara Electronic Logging Device (ELD) on company cell phone to perform pre-trip inspections and demonstrate DOT-compliant on-duty status, etc. in lieu of paper logs. Cameras facing in the cabin towards the driver as well as on the road ahead to protect the company in driver in the event of any incidents.

• Must be comfortable wearing a company uniform and protective footwear (composite or steel toe)
• Safe Driving Record (MVR)
• Must be legally authorized to authorized to operate manual transmissions and proficient driving these types of vehicles (10-speed)
• Must have Valid CDL-A
• Must be registered with DOT Clearinghouse (no SAP return-to-work sponsorship permitted)
• Must have Valid DOT Med Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate)

• Cabinetry - assembled and components
• Laminate sheet goods + plywood and similar engineered wood products
• Cabinetry hardware such as hinges & drawer slides
• Hand & power tools
• Fasteners,
• Paint/stain and other finish products
• Adhesives
• PPE
• Sandpaper/abrasive goods
• Other materials related to millwork fabrication and other woodworking adjacent materials

• Wood shops and other millwork fabricators - typically single-dock garage-style small business environments often related to cabinetmaking or similar
• Kitchen & bath remodeling companies - often with a showroom in the front with goods on display and a similar environment as described above in the back where you'll make deliveries
