JOB DUTIES:
Reliable attendance
Perform equipment safety inspections daily
Perform minor vehicle maintenance (lights, wiper blades, fluid top-off, etc.)
Record and submit daily log for HOS and DVIR using ELD according to the Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
Deliver product on time within drivers control
Safely unload product while paying attention to product quality and customer requirements
Pick up empty carts
Complete and submit all paperwork upon returning from deliveries (trip reports, logs, BOLs, etc.)
Attend safety meetings and complete safety training assignments
Performs any other duties within reason as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS and education requirements:
Must be at least 25 years of age
Valid Class A CDL
Minimum of 5 years of verifiable driving experience
Maximum of 2 points on MVR
No more than 1 chargeable accident in the past 3 years
No DUI/DWI or any alcohol or drug related convictions in the past 5 years
No license suspension/disqualification for traffic convictions in the past 3 years
Command of the English language. Command of the Spanish language a plus
The ability to be flexible, and interface professionally with all levels of drivers, customers, or colleagues
Must be able to work independently. However also be able to take direction when it is given.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
PHYSICAL Environment & Requirements:
Plant/Production facility, occasionally outside, or in-store; Possible extreme heat/cold dependent on season
Continuously requires ability to follow verbal and/or written direction
Frequently requires walking, lifting (up to 50lbs), carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling (up to 200lbs), bending, and crouching
Occasionally requires sitting, standing, fine dexterity, climbing and handling
