Bus Driver

POSITION: Bus Drivers

REPORTS TO: Director of Transportation

JOB DESCRIPTION: Drives bus to transport students over specified routes according to time schedule. Complies with traffic regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess a valid Indiana State CDL License with Passenger and Safety Endorsement (Original driver's license must be presented with application)
• Physical on File (Medical Examiners Certification) and a State Certified Yellow Card
• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must have no points on driving record and able to pass physical including drug test
• Must complete a Safe Hiring Solutions background check
• A mandatory negative drug test is required prior to appointment to this position

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drives a school bus safely and professionally
• Performs and properly completes daily pre-trip inspections
• Complies with all traffic ordinances
• Complies with discipline policies set forth in the School Code of Conduct for Transportation
• Participates in on-site training
• Shows proficiency in handling and maneuvering school bus
• Any or all assigned duties

SALARY: Competitive
