Earn an average of $100,000 per year delivering refrigerated grocery freight from Salem, VA. This dedicated local operation offers daily home time, activity-based pay, annual pay increases, and union benefits with a pension. Drivers use an electric pallet jack to assist with deliveries.

Pay Details & Schedule
- Average Annual Pay: $100,000
- Average Weekly Pay: Approximately $1,923
- Mileage Pay: $0.66 per mile
- First-Stop Pay: $44
- Hourly Pay: $27.80
- Pay Increases: Annual increases
- Home Time: Daily, with a minimum 34-hour reset during the week
- Guaranteed Workweek: 44 hours
- Schedule: Weekends required
- Route Assignment: First-in, first-out dispatch; seniority-based route bids twice per year
- Availability: Drivers remain on call until midnight before their scheduled day off
- Dedicated refrigerated grocery deliveries
- Starting location: Salem, VA
- Local and regional routes
- Haul refrigerated freight in reefer trailers
- Assist with deliveries using an electric pallet jack
- Resets completed at home
- Union operation with company benefits and pension
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 9 months of tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
- Must be at least 22 years old
- No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years, subject to restrictions
- No more than 1 DOT-recordable preventable accident in the past 3 years
- FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse profile required before hire
- Must meet English language requirements for communication, traffic signs, official inquiries, and reports
- Clean driving record
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- No SAP drivers
- Ability to operate refrigerated equipment and assist with electric pallet jack deliveries
