CDL A Flatbed Driver - $26 - $30 Per Hour - DOE

TransForce is seeking a CDL A driver to support local operations based in Baytown, TX. 

This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team. 

CDL A Details 

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5am Start time 

• Pay:  $26 - $30 Per hour, Depending on experience, OT after 40 hours

• Route Type: Local, 150 mile radius, 6-10 stops per day

• Freight / Load Type: Hauling steel

• Equipment: Flatbed, Manual Transmission 

• Handling: Must be able to throw chains and straps to secure load 

CDL A Minimum Requirements:  

• License: CDL A 

• Experience: 3+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience 

• Endorsements: Manual Transmission

• Equipment Experience:  Heavy Duty experience preferred, Steel industry experience preferred, Forklift experience preferred

• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in last 3 years) 

• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements 

CDL A Responsibilities:  

• Safely operate CDL A equipment on local routes 

• Transport steel in accordance with DOT and company safety standards 

• Perform required handling tasks including chaining, strapping, and forklift use

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections 

• Maintain accurate logs and paperwork 

• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations 

• Meet the physical demands of the role, including [lifting, climbing, strapping, tarping, etc., if applicable]
